The latest Technocroft model of the Glenelg ferry, is a small one designed to hold children’s milk teeth and £1 coins for when the Tooth Fairy comes. Their teeth and coins are placed in the hold below the rotatable turntable.
It can also hold other things such as earphones, earrings, cuff-links etc.
They are made from timber recovered from one of the last wooden turntable ferries, the Queen of Kylesku.
