I have always liked old fish boxes like the ones above which I saw in Shetland, Fife and Orkney (L-R).
The traditional wooden ones used to wash up on the beach and we’d take them home as kids.
A friend had a wall covered in fish boxes, which worked as shelves. I thought it was fantastic.
When some driftwood turned up I made a replica.
I use it to store my board games and DVDs. Then I made another for my CDs.
I now make replicas to order, with the stenciled fishing port name of your choice.
Usually made from locally sourced larch.
